The Kion Group is a German company operating in the industrial equipment sector. More specifically, the company is currently the European market leader and number two worldwide in the manufacture and sale of material handling equipment.
To better understand the group's activities, they can be divided into several divisions according to the share of turnover they generate and in this way:
- First of all, the major part of Kion Group's activities concerns the sale of handling equipment with more than 72.7% of the turnover. This includes electric and diesel forklift trucks, pallet trucks, stackers, electric and thermal front-end trucks, tractors and forwarders, warehouse trucks, order pickers and others under the Linde, STILL, Fenwick, OM Still, Baoli and Voltas brands. The group is also active in the sale of spare parts and after-sales services.
- 27% of the group's turnover then comes from the development and sale of supply chain management solutions.
- Finally, the remaining 0.3% of turnover comes from IT and logistics services.
It is also interesting to know the geographical distribution of Kion Group's activities as it generates 67.1% of its turnover in Europe, 19.1% in North America, 10.3% in Asia Pacific, 2.4% in Latin America and 1.1% in Africa and Middle East.
