What is the amount of the dividend paid by Ferrari?

The current dividend paid by Ferrari is €1.316 per share. This is the amount that was paid to shareholders in May 2022 for the financial year 2021.

The previous dividend paid by Ferrari to its shareholders was €0.867 per share. The dividend has therefore increased since last year.

It should be noted, however, that the dividend paid in 2021 was impacted by the COVID crisis, which mainly penalised companies in the automotive sector.

When is the Ferrari dividend paid?

The Ferrari dividend is paid to shareholders once a year. Both the ex-dividend date and the payment date follow several steps that determine the amount of the dividend. This is decided by the Board of Directors and then submitted to the vote of the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting.

Thus the dividend paid in 2022 corresponds to the financial year 2021. The ex-dividend date was 19 April 2022 and the payment date was 6 May 2022.

What is the next dividend forecast for Ferrari shares?

Ferrari has not yet communicated the amount of its next dividend, which will be the 2023 dividend paid for the 2022 financial year. This amount will only be decided after the official publication of the results for the financial year 2020. It will therefore be necessary to wait until the first quarter of 2023 to know the amount, as well as the dates of detachment and payment.

It should also be remembered that after the Board of Directors has announced the amount of the 2023 dividend, this amount should be validated by the shareholders during the annual general meeting. It will only be officially published after this date.

This will allow you to better understand how this dividend evolves over the medium term.

  • In 2022, Ferrari's dividend was €1,362 with an increase of 57.09%.
  • In 2021, Ferrari's dividend was €0.867 with a decrease of 23.27%.

If this history of Ferrari's dividend does not allow us to know the evolution of its amount over 10 years, we can analyse it over the last 5 years. Thus, in 5 years, the average annual evolution of this dividend has been 16.49%, with an even greater increase this year of 57.09% compared to 2021. The only decline in Ferrari's dividend yield seen was in 2021 and is fairly easily explained by the effect of the COVID pandemic on the automotive sector.

What is the dividend yield on Ferrari shares?

To know the profitability of a share, you should not base yourself solely on the amount of its dividend. In fact, it is the yield of the share that is mainly used by investors to decide which shares to add to their portfolio. This yield is obtained by dividing the amount of the dividend by the share price at the time of issue.

The dividend yield paid by Ferrari in 2022 is currently 0.67%.

It should also be noted that Ferrari's payout ratio to its shareholders is only 18.53% of its profits. This is a low payout ratio and indicates that the company is retaining a large portion of its profits to boost growth.

What is the multi-year dividend yield on Ferrari shares?

Over the past 6 years, Ferrari Group has paid a dividend with an average yield of 0.91%, which is above its 2022 yield. Here is its history:

  • In 2022, this dividend yield was 0.67%.
  • In 2021, the yield on this dividend was 0.49%.
  • In 2020, this dividend yield was 0.76%.

The yield on Ferrari shares is therefore relatively low compared to the yield offered by other companies in the same sector.
