About the composition of the Nasdaq 100

The Nasdaq 100 comprises 100 companies that are listed on the US market. These companies are selected on the basis of their market capitalisation. Therefore, the companies included in this index have the largest market capitalisations in this market.

In its composition, the Nasdaq 100 includes companies operating in various sectors of activity. In total, 7 sectors are represented in this index. According to the weight of each sector in the calculation of the index, we find :

  • consumer services (24.02%),
  • health (14.91%),
  • consumer goods (4.62%),
  • industry (2.99%),
  • telecommunications (0.77%),
