The Capgemini Group has just signed a framework agreement in Sweden through its Sogeti brand. This is an exclusive collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration. The agreement covers IT services for application development and management. Through this partnership, Sogeti is committed to assisting the Swedish Transport Administration in its digital transformation over the coming years.
The Swedish Transport Administration is the government authority responsible for the long-term planning of transport infrastructure in Sweden. This planning is aimed at several branches: road, rail, maritime and air.
The authority also wants to achieve specific objectives by signing this new framework agreement with Sogeti. Indeed, this long-term collaboration is part of the renewal of the administration's IT operations.
Through this partnership, it aims to achieve greater adaptability in the development and management of applications. Also, the Swedish Transport Administration plans to bring more innovation to its area of operation.
It also expects to achieve greater profitability in the coming years. Finally, the framework agreement signed with Sogeti should enable this government authority to achieve its risk reduction objective.
Sogeti has a major responsibility under the framework agreement. Sogeti will be responsible for the resources and teams needed to develop and manage the applications in the Swedish Transport Administration's IT operations.
In addition, the contract is initially to cover a period of four years. It can be extended for a further three years by the government authority. This extension should also be supported by a decision each year. Furthermore, the total amount of the operation is estimated at SEK 2.3 billion.
This corresponds to approximately EUR 220 million. It should also be noted that the new framework agreement came into force on 15 June.
