General presentation of AMD

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (AMD) is a semiconductor and microprocessor manufacturer based in Santa Clara, California. Founded in 1969, the company is now a major supplier of processors for personal computers, servers, workstations, telephones and game consoles.
AMD's product portfolio includes desktop and notebook processors, graphics cards, server chips, network adapters, embedded processors, artificial intelligence processors and other connectivity products.
AMD processors are particularly known for their high performance, reliability and low power consumption, which makes them attractive to users of all kinds. In addition, AMD has recently focused on the production of processors for notebooks, which are becoming increasingly popular worldwide.
In terms of the geographical distribution of its activities, the United States is AMD's major market, accounting for about 34.1% of its turnover. China is the second largest market for the company, accounting for about 22.1% of its revenue, followed by Japan (17.7%), Taiwan (10%), Europe (7.5%), Singapore (5.9%) and other countries (2.7%).
AMD competes with semiconductor giants such as Intel and Nvidia. However, the company has grown rapidly in recent years due to the increasing popularity of its products, its expansion into international markets and its collaboration with key partners such as Lenovo, Samsung and Microsoft.
